We love our clients and respect their privacy. When you sign up for the E-Newsletter you can be assured that South Shore Pet.Com will only use your email address to send you our newsletter. We will never intentionally sell or share the email list.

Newsletters are filled with pet pampering tips, interesting stories, calendar dates and locations for fairs & trade shows where we will be attending, monthly product specials and more. If you would like to unsubscribe to the newsletter, you may do so by emailing us at info@southshorepet.com. E-Newsletters are sent on a monthly basis, usually the first Friday and sometimes on the third Monday, to pet enthusiasts who have signed up through our website, in-person or at a fair. To protect you from SPAM, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your request, and then you will be an active South Shore Pet.Com E-Newsletter recipient!

At this time we accept Mastercard and Visa, cash and checks.

PRODUCT ORDERS

SHIPPING AND HANDLING DETAILS

Most of the orders are packaged and shipped within 72 hours of receiving the order.

We ship most of our products with UPS/FED Ex because they offer “Tracking” and that provides a real-time status of the shipped package(s). However, we reserve the right to choose another shipping company if needed, including the United States Post Office. Although we can not guarantee an exact delivery time, we can provide you with the UPS/Fed EX tracking number so you can track your order from home. Once an item is shipped shipping charges are not reimbursed.

-International Shipping: There is an additional charge for international shipping. Contact us by email and we can give you a quote. Free Shipping applies to USA orders only. There is an additional shipping charge for Alaska and Hawaii.

-Shipping prices are based on the total amount of your order.

$8.00 to $15.00 = $4.25

$25.01 to $20.00 = $6.50

$20.01 to $30.00 = $8.00

$30.01 to $49.00 = $11.00

$49.01 or More= Free Shipping For USA orders only!

GIFT WRAPPING

-Gift Wrapping is free and consists of sending a gift bag for re-gifting. Gift baskets are already packaged. If you have special gift wrapping needs, contact us directly and and we can work with you to create a custom gift wrapping plan. Additional charges may apply.

SALES TAX

The law requires that we collect sales tax on all product orders that are shipped to an address in the states where we have our business. South SHore Pet.Com has a retail sales tax resale certificate in the Commonwealth of Massachussetts. Therfore, a sales tax of 5% is added to all orders shipped to an address is Massachusetts.

SALE ITEMS

Products on sale are all FINAL sales and can not be returned.

RETURNS OR EXCHANGES

Purchase Pledge

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, (see restrictions below) please return the “unused” item for an exchange or refund. There is no time limit on returns. Make sure to follow the directions below or the items will not be honored.

Restrictions: Sale Items, Custom Orders, Perishable Food and Treats or Gift Baskets that have been opened, can not be returned or exchanged.

Returned or Exchanged Products must be shipped pre-paid and insured to:

Directions: Your Returned Products must also have:

1. The Return Form which is enclosed witha copy of the original order.

2. The reason for the return.

3. A valid residential address that can receive UPS Shippments. (We can’t ship to APO, FPO or PO Boxes)

4. What resolve you would like, i.e. an exchange for another item(s) of equal or more value, or a credit back to you.

**We will credit your original method of payment, excluding the first delivery charges. If a product is exchanged for another, we will pay the second shipping cost. No other items may be added to the order, only an item for an item. If you have any questions about returns or exchanges contact us at info@southshorepet.com.

BACK ORDERS AND LIMITED STOCK

When items are back ordered or there is a limited stock, you will be notified within 3 business days. At that time we will tell you the estimated ship date and you will have the choice of either accepting or declining the purchase of those items.

CANCELING/ ADJUSTING OR ADDING TO ORDERS

Once your order is processed (Shipped) changes can’t be made to that order. If you change your mind, forgot to add an item, or realize you have ordered the incorrect item, and would like to cancel the order or adjust the order, contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE by Email at info@southshorepet.com or by phone at 781-447-5489. We will Email you a confirmation email if we receive the cancellation/ adjustment request before we have shipped your order. In the event that the order has not been shipped yet, we will make every effort to add or adjust the order for you. If the order has been shipped, we can not make any changes to the order.Please see returns or exchanges.

STORE CREDIT

At this time We don’t give store credit, we will either issue you an exchange or credit your account. (See Returns and Exchanges)

CUSTOM ORDERS

On occasion we will offer items that can be custom designed or embroidered with your pets name. These items will take up to 5 days longer to ship and may be sent in a separate shipping box. Custom items are a final sale.

ADVERTISING SALES

We are still finalizing our advertising sales policy, it will be finalized by the end of January.

HOW WE HELP ANIMALS

  • Non-profit Animal Groups “Sponsorship” Program

We offer non-profit, and volunteer animal rescue groups, shelters etc, FREE advertising on our site and in email newsletters, in exchange for having our companies logo placed on all your event advertising, flyer’s, website etc as an event sponsor, and a free table or 2 tickets to the event we are sponsoring, in order to promote our pet portal.

In addition, we will submit a press release announcing South Shore Pet .Com as an event sponsor. Arrangements must be made no later than 3 months before the event.

South Shore Pet.Com Sponsorship Recap! Your Organization receives:

  • Free Banner Ad Listings
  • Free Calendar Listing
  • Free Email Inclusion
  • Web Link to your site
  • Being Included in a press release

In exchange for:

  • Including South Shore Pet.Com as an event sponsor on all advertising, and publicity materials, print, radio, flyers-etc
  • A web link to www.southshorepet.com from your site
  • a Free Table or 2 tickets to the event
  • 3-month notice
  • Discounted Rates For Non-profit Groups.

Don’t have time to plan for event sponsorship, we offer 50% off our regular advertising fee’s to non-profit groups. The sponsorship program is arranged by contract, presenting South Shore Pet.Com with 501(c) 3 status certificates, and providing all logo’s, banners, and information, in a timely manner in order to achieve the best possible chance of success for both parties and the animals!

  • Free Events Calendar Listings

Simply email us a press release with all your event information, web links, emails addresses, and a image for the calendar to info@southshorepet.com

  • Grant/ Donations To Animal Welfare Groups

We love helping animals through our company. South Shore Pet.Com donates to local area animal welfare and rescue groups on a first come first serve basis, when able. We are developing our criteria and program at this time- please contact us directly for more information. It is our hope to donate a portion of our product and advertising sales to animal organizations. We are also planning a speaker series in the spring, and one yearly event.

Here are the donations requirements:

#1 We donate to registered non-profit organizations that focus on animal wellness, rescue, animal care, etc, IN OUR AREA.

#2 Send a request at least THREE months before the event, on the organizations letterhead, and include the 501(c)3 number. Tell us a little bit about your organization and some of your success stories.

#3 State how the donation would be used (i.e silent auction, Raffle, etc.) and what kind of publicity your organization offers in exchange for this donation.

#4 State what kind of advertising venues you will be using to promote your event.

#5 Only one donation per organization per year. All donations go through an approval process.
